I stepped over a mountain of shoes to the smell of fresh rye bread at my first house concert. Between rows of mismatched chairs, bar stools, and pillows—in the corner, an oversized comfy couch. I found my seat.
I don't remember the musician but do remember the pizzicato style cello and the story of composing sitting next to a cactus in the middle of the desert. His car broken down on the road behind him.
In that small space, I felt the sound.
It was intimate and unforgettable. I'd never heard music this way.
In 2021 we opened Pretty Bird House Concerts: a uniquely beautiful space, friends, food and an incredible live music experience you won't soon forget.

OUR VENUE
Pretty Bird is a private residence, and several times per year, we open our doors to music lovers for an unforgettable musical performance. We do have a medium-sized dog in case of allergy concerns.
Our concerts are not a party with background music. We are a listening room concert performance with professional artists. We ask that you arrive on time, turn off your cell phones, be quiet and respect the enjoyment of others.
BYOB (bring your own beverage) and your reusable coffee mug if you need one, we do have hot water and tea.
Let there be food! Dinner is potluck style. We encourage you to contribute your brag-worthy nibble to our communal table. We're known for our brilliant spread.
From start to finish, the event will be 3 to 3.5 hours. 6:30 pm doors open so you can mingle, grab seats and share food. The show starts promptly at 7 pm with two 40-45 minute sets and a brief intermission to eat, purchase merchandise and meet the artists.
TICKETS
Your ticket includes a one-of-a-kind live music performance and a potluck. Our tickets are offered on a sliding scale giving you the chance to support independent artists. Tickets are $35 minimum. $30 per ticket is allocated to the artists. Pretty Bird does not profit from ticket sales but retains $5 per ticket to cover website, ticket processing and event insurance fees.
FOOTWEAR & COATS
We ask that you remove outdoor footwear at the door. Indoor slippers/shoes are welcome.
PARKING & LOCATION
Our venue is located approximately 8 minutes southwest of Priddis, AB. There is ample parking available.
